A little bit about me
My name is Miroslav Kostov, I’m 31 years old, currently living in Sofia, Bulgaria.
I’ve always been fascinated by technology and computer sciences, which was enough for me to pursue a degree in the computer science field. I have graduated from the American University in Bulgaria, majoring in Computer Science. During my education I took many courses outside of the mandatory curriculum related to computer sciences and information technology, which helped me expand on my knowledge and gave me ability to constantly learn and be part of the never ending computer sciences evolution.
From professional point of view I’m really passionate and work-oriented person. I started my professional career during my second year at the American University in Bulgaria. I worked as Quality Assurance for a British company, called Coomasis. After my first introductory months in the company my responsibilities were to maintain the quality of more than 260 medical systems. I have spent big amount of time working on those systems and can proudly claim that we have not received a single complaint from any of our customers.
In 2010 I applied as a Senior QA at Scopic Software but shortly after i was prequalified as Software Project manager. I have successfully completed more than 25 middle to large software projects, most of which you can see in my portfolio.
In the beginning of 2013 i was promoted to Director of Project Management at Scopic Software. It was a great challenge for me and I accepted it right away. I was able to help the company for about 6 months, after that I stepped down, back to a regular PM position once again to finish up some work on projects I have already started. I received personal recognition from the company’s owner about my work as a Director of Project Management. It was indeed an enlightening experience and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to see the big picture and to be part of the High Management Team at Scopic Software.
In 2018 I led the New Technology Group (NTG) department of Scopic Software, my main goal was to introduce the company to the new technologies out there in order to expand our company-wide experience on those markets. We explored and excelled at fields such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, conversational AI, crypto currencies, Internet of Things and the like. This position actually sparked my interests towards innovation and innovative projects, which made it absolutely clear for me that in order to be in the loop of the rapidly growing computer science field, I have to be involved with those new technologies.
In 2019 I joined Sprinting Software as a Project Lead, given my technical background, which was underutilized all these years I wanted to expand on that alongside the opportunity to work in the fintech industry.
